Water is a Limited Resource

Over the past month in Global Studies, the P4G class has deepened their understanding of global water challenges. They participated in an engaging talk from UNICEF that highlighted the lack of access to clean water faced by children around the world, as well as the struggles families endure to provide water for their daily needs.

Following this enlightening discussion, the students visited the Crossroads Foundation, a non-profit organisation based in Hong Kong that provides aid for people in need around the world. During the visit, they learned about the arduous journeys many people make daily to collect water and bring it back to their communities.

To help them empathise with this critical issue, the students participated in a simulation that illustrated the burden carried by the 1.1 billion people who lack access to clean water. This experience not only highlighted the challenges faced by these individuals but also encouraged the students to think critically about potential solutions to these pressing problems.

As the students prepare for their Student Action Plan presentations, they are eager to share their insights and proposed solutions to address water accessibility challenges around the world.
