Thank You HKJS!
HKJS has been with us since 1966. Over the past 60 years, it has created many memories for students, teachers, and parents. We truly appreciate and cherish the time we have spent at the school. Together, we have built a community that values learning, friendship, and growth. Generations of graduates carry with them the lessons and spirit of HKJS, shaping their futures with confidence and pride. Let’s make the rest of our time together count!

Feeling the Heat in P4G Science!
In Science class, P4G has been turning up the heat to discover how energy travels through different materials! We became thermal investigators, conducting three different experiments to see how heat spreads. First, we applied thermosensitive tape to metal rods, observing carefully as the colours shifted to reveal the path of heat through solids. Next, we tested liquids by adding thermosensitive ink to water, allowing us to visualise the swirling patterns of heat as it moved t

P4G Water Heroes: Taking Action for a Better World!
We are incredibly proud of P4G, who have just completed their Student Action Projects (SAPs) focused on one of our planet’s most precious resources: water. After months of research into how water is a limited and valuable resource, our students took to the stage to share their findings and inspire us all to take action. The class divided into four specialist groups, each tackling a different side of the global water story: Group 1 (The Water Journey): Taught us about the am

SAP: Empowering Change - How 5G Students Tackled SDGs with Innovative Inventions!
The 5G students recently completed their Student Action Plan (SAP) presentations, showcasing remarkable creativity and dedication. This term’s theme challenged them to create their own companies, each focused on inventing solutions to address global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event brought together students, teachers, and parents, all eager to witness the innovative ideas aimed at solving real-world problems. Creating Companies with a Purpose Each student group

Kicking Off 2026 with SAP Success
Today, we presented what we have learned in Global Studies during Term 2. We discovered that conflicts are everywhere and, while challenging, they are often necessary for improvement. We learned that conflicts have led to many significant influences. At the same time, we realized that there are many things we can do to help. We hope that your perspective toward refugees has changed after listening to our SAP. Please join us in taking action and working together to change the

Reflecting on the last few weeks of 2025, and looking forward to what amazing things 2026 could bring!
As we step into the third and final term of P5 and welcome the new year 2026, it’s a perfect moment to look back on the past weeks of Term 2. Last term was filled with learning, fun, and meaningful experiences that brought our class closer together and helped us grow in many ways. Exploring Creativity and Technology at the Genius Workshop One of the most memorable events was our excursion to the Genius Workshop. There, we had the chance to build and code a recycling robot usi

Peaks, Paths, and Plenty of Fun: P4G Takes on Dragon’s Back!
Last week, P4G headed out on a hike along Dragon’s Back for a fresh-air learning adventure! In Social Studies, we’ve been exploring how people and cities use land differently depending on the terrain—like coastal areas, valleys, and mountains—so this was our chance to see Hong Kong’s landscape up close. As we climbed, we spotted how the land shapes where buildings, paths, and open spaces can be found, and we talked about why certain areas are used the way they are. Of course,

Walking in Others’ Shoes: P4G’s Visit to Crossroads Foundation
Recently, P4G visited Crossroads Foundation in Hong Kong as part of our research for the Student Action Project on “Water is a limited resource.” We learned about the serious challenges faced by people around the world who don’t have reliable access to clean water, and how this affects their daily lives. Then, we took on a powerful challenge to simulate carrying water, helping us understand how much effort many families must make each day just to collect enough. Crossroads

Merry Christmas! Ho Ho Ho!
It is almost the end of the year. 2025 has been wonderful, as we learned and played together. The Happy Festival, Sports Festival, and graduation trip were all great memories for us this year. Even though not everyone was in class during Term 2, we still kept each person in mind and look forward to spending time together again. Best of luck to our friends who are going on an adventure in a different place. We hope everyone enjoys a happy holiday, and we can’t wait to see you

Stop, Think, and Act
In order to learn more about how we can contribute to peace, we visited the Trail of World Need at the Crossroads Foundation. There, we experienced simulations of war and life as refugees who lack easy access to education, healthcare, and energy. We even imagined ourselves living beside a mountain of garbage every day. All of these are the result of armed conflict, and many people around the world are currently suffering in such situations. After each simulation, we reflect o
