Last time, P4G planted bitter melon and loofah seeds to observe how they grow. Now, our plants have sprouted, and we can see some fascinating differences!
The bitter melon is proving to be the speediest so far. It's growing fast, and we can already see tendrils appearing! These tendrils help the plant climb, so we decided it was time to give them some extra room to stretch their roots and vines. Together, we carefully transferred the bitter melon plants to larger pots with fresh soil and added supports to help the tendrils climb upward.
Before moving them, we completed observation cards to track the plants’ growth. It’s been wonderful to see how much they’ve developed in such a short time! Now that they’re outside with more space to grow, we’re hoping they’ll climb higher and flourish.
The loofah plants are growing a little slower, but we’re observing them closely, and we’re sure they’ll catch up soon. We're really enjoying watching both plants grow, and we can’t wait to see what happens next. Will our plants grow super tall? Stay tuned for more updates! 🌞
