Parents Observation Week at JIS and the Excitement for Sports Festival
Some weeks at school feel extra full, and this was one of them. At JIS, our P5G classroom welcomed parents for an observation lesson, shared updates with the wider P5 community, and kept preparing for Sports Festival with plenty of energy.
Parents joined our daily learning
The parents observation lesson gave families a real look at daily life in P5G. Mr. Yoshida led an amazing lesson that showed how students listen, think, share ideas, and work together.
It was not just a special performance for visitors. It felt like a true snapshot of our classroom routine. Students stayed focused, took part with confidence, and showed the learning habits they have been building throughout the year.
Sharing the year so far with P5 parents
After the lesson, we joined all P5 parents for a presentation about our year so far. This was a chance to look back at what students have experienced, learned, and enjoyed.
One highlight was our school trip to Sai Kung. The trip gave students time to learn outside the classroom, spend time with friends, and build independence. These shared experiences often become some of the strongest memories of the school year.
Sports Festival energy is building
This week has also been busy and loud, in the best way, as students prepare their chants for Sports Festival. The classroom and playground have been full of rhythm, teamwork, and excited voices.
Chant practice is more than making noise. Students practise timing, cooperation, confidence, and group spirit. They learn how to support one another and bring positive energy to their team.
A week full of connection
This week reminded us how much learning happens when school life is shared. Parents saw daily routines in action, P5 reflected on the year so far, and students continued building excitement for Sports Festival.
P5G should feel proud of the focus, enthusiasm, and school spirit they showed. It has been a joyful week at JIS, and there is even more excitement ahead.
