Last week, the school hosted an exciting Student Action Project (SAP) presentation event that brought together students from P4, P5, and P6 Global classes. This event is a highlight of the term, where students showcase their hard work and creativity in front of their peers, teachers, and parents. It was inspiring to see the enthusiasm and dedication from all the classes, especially as they tackled diverse and challenging topics.

P5G’s Focus on Environment and Sustainability

This term, the P5G class chose to explore environment and sustainability. Their presentations demonstrated a deep understanding of the issues facing our planet and offered thoughtful ideas on how to protect natural resources. The students worked hard to research their topics, prepare clear explanations, and create engaging visuals. Their efforts paid off with confident and informative presentations that impressed everyone watching.

Some key highlights from P5G included:

  • Explaining the importance of reducing waste and recycling

  • Discussing renewable energy sources like solar and wind power

  • Suggesting ways individuals and communities can contribute to sustainability

  • Spreading the word about endangered creatures and habitat loss

Their passion for the environment was clear, and their ability to communicate complex ideas in simple terms showed great growth.

P4 Students Shine in Their First SAP Experience

For many P4 students, this was their first time participating in the SAP presentation. Despite being newcomers, their presentations were remarkably impressive. They showed courage and enthusiasm, stepping up to speak in front of a large audience with confidence.

The P4 projects covered a variety of topics, and the students demonstrated creativity and curiosity. Their teachers noted how much effort went into preparing their speeches and visual aids. This first experience will surely build a strong foundation for future SAP events.

P6G Creates a New Country with Laws and Taxes

The P6G class took on a unique challenge by designing a new country. They had to think about important aspects such as laws, taxes, and governance. This project required critical thinking and teamwork as they debated and decided on rules that would shape their fictional nation.

Their presentations showed a clear understanding of how societies function and the role of government policies. The students impressed the audience with their detailed plans and the creativity they brought to the project. Having participated in SAP for three years, P6G’s progress was evident, with each year showing more polish and confidence.

Looking Forward to the Next SAP Event

The SAP presentations are a wonderful opportunity for students to develop public speaking skills, deepen their knowledge, and collaborate with classmates. It is clear that the hard work put in by P4, P5, and P6 students has paid off, with each class delivering memorable presentations.

The event also brought the school community together, with parents and teachers showing strong support. This positive atmosphere encourages students to keep learning and growing.

The next SAP event is already something to look forward to. With the progress seen this term, future presentations promise to be even more engaging and insightful. Congratulations to all the students for their dedication and achievements. Keep up the great work!

The 5G students even had a dodgeball reward for their hard work and good behaviour since the start of term 2!!
