This term in Global Studies, our students are diving into the topic of diversity.
This week, our students have been hard at work exploring the rich diversity of our world by creating country posters! Each student chose a country they were curious about and embarked on a journey of research to learn about its unique culture, traditions, food, language, and landmarks.
Using creativity and careful research, the students turned their findings into colourful, detailed posters that showcase what makes each country special. From the vibrant celebrations of Brazil to the serene beauty of Japan, the posters display a wonderful variety of global cultures.
Students will then present their posters to their classmates, sharing the most interesting things they learned. These presentations will allow everyone to see just how many ways diversity connects and enriches us.
Once we’ve finished exploring diversity in different countries, we will shift our focus to the diversity of people—learning about the different abilities, strengths, and challenges people bring to the world. Through activities and hands-on experiences, students will gain deeper empathy and understanding, reinforcing our central idea that diversity truly makes our world better.
