Feeling the Heat in P4G Science!

In Science class, P4G has been turning up the heat to discover how energy travels through different materials! We became thermal investigators, conducting three different experiments to see how heat spreads.

First, we applied thermosensitive tape to metal rods, observing carefully as the colours shifted to reveal the path of heat through solids. Next, we tested liquids by adding thermosensitive ink to water, allowing us to visualise the swirling patterns of heat as it moved through the beaker. Finally, we tackled the invisible world of air! We used incense sticks to trace the movement of smoke and "see" the air currents, and we placed paper coated in the thermosensitive ink near gas burners to watch how the surrounding air carried heat.

It was a brilliantly hands-on way to understand the science of temperature, and we had a blast watching our experiments change colour right before our eyes!
