Similarity and Congruence - What's the difference?

In Mathematics class, we are continuing to learn more about geometry. This time, we are investigating what makes shapes similar, congruent or completely dissimilar. Can you just tell by looking? No! We must use our measuring tools to make 100% sure that a shape is exactly congruent. In order to do this we must decide which tools to use and which formula to adopt. The 5G students have even learned 3 different ways to draw an exact, congruent replica of the shapes they have been investigating! We have looked closely at angles using a protractor and sides using a compass. How many more shapes can you draw using these wonderful tools?
