P6G Science lab time!

Are all gases in the air necessary for burning? In this Science lab, we were investigating how different gases affect burning. Through demonstration, we learned that oxygen was needed to be collected under water. The bubbles that came up from the bottom would be the air that got pushed away. After putting oxygen into the jar, we inserted a burning candle inside to observe the effect of oxygen on burning. Doing experiments is always a fun way to learn Science but we have to make sure that we are doing them safely.
