Ancient art taking us into space...

The ancient art of Origami is one of the most "simply - beautiful" things in the world. It is renowned around the world not only for it's beauty, but also for it's ingenuity and intricacy. Our shapes topic in Maths and looking at the world around us, inspired us to look further into origami and it's uses.

Earlier in the term, we discovered that origami is even important today in making furniture for our houses, especially in big cities like Hong Kong in which space is extremely limited. Talking about space... scientists all over the world have used origami to help to invent ingenious ideas related to space travel. These innovations have allowed us to take huge pieces of technology into space and then unfold them to make use. We were amazed and so we decided to pay homage to the beauty and intelligence of origami by decorating our classroom with the ancient art.
