Congruent Figures - P5 - G

After a term of exceedingly hard work in which long multiplication, long division and place value have played a large part, the number-heavy topics have subsided for a time to make way for a much more hands on Mathematics perspective - congruent figures. P5 - G have been delving into shapes and what makes them unique and different from others. We have looked at angles, lengths of sides and vertices, and compared them with corresponding properties of other shapes. What is similar? What is different? What is unique? Moving forward, we will explore ways to draw these shapes and how to make sure they are congruent. This is a very interactive topic and offers an alternative perspective of the value of mathematics!
